Rs 50,000 prize for information on bank robbers

RSS LALITPUR: The Metropolis Police Range, Lalitpur, has decided to provide RS 50,000 to any person providing information about the gang which looted the Standard Chartered Bank at Jawalakhel.
Organising a press meet at the office, the police made public the photo of one of the armed looters caught on the CCTV. The police announced the prize for the informant.
The police showed a photograph of a looter of 25 years of age at the programme.
The Bank was robbed of Rs 1.3 million from its counters by the looters by keeping the bank staff under control, setting off a minor explosion and creating panic on 14 January.

No PM run-off after 17th round, says Nembang

HIMALAYAN NEWS SERVICE DHULIKHEL: Constituent Assembly Chairman Subas Nembang today said a new process will pick the Prime Minister if the 17th prime ministerial run-off fails to deliver. The winter session of the Parliament is beginning tomorrow and the 17th run-off is likely to take place on January 12. Inaugurating the seventh general assembly of the Rastriya Sahakari Bank in Banepa, Nembang said, On January 9, the House will schedule the 17th run-off for January 12, but that will be the last one.
