Dharan festival from Jan 28

RSS KATHMANDU: Dharan Municipality is going to organise 'Dharan Golden Jubilee Festival- 2011' from January 28 to 31 to mark its golden jubilee ceremony.
Speaking at a press conference organised by Dharan Service Society on Sunday, chairman of the Society Prabhu Kumar Shrestha said they are going to organise various programme like cultural, religious, educational and industrial exhibition, initiation of paragliding, laying the foundation stone for golden jubilee pillar, inauguration of road plan and honouring different people for their contribution to the development of Dharan.
Constituent Assembly Chairman Subhas Chandra Nembang is schedule to inaugurate the Festival. It is estimated that around Rs 3.5 million will be spent for the Festival and around 600,000 people will observe it.

No PM run-off after 17th round, says Nembang

HIMALAYAN NEWS SERVICE DHULIKHEL: Constituent Assembly Chairman Subas Nembang today said a new process will pick the Prime Minister if the 17th prime ministerial run-off fails to deliver. The winter session of the Parliament is beginning tomorrow and the 17th run-off is likely to take place on January 12. Inaugurating the seventh general assembly of the Rastriya Sahakari Bank in Banepa, Nembang said, On January 9, the House will schedule the 17th run-off for January 12, but that will be the last one. A new process will be initiated if the country does not get a new prime minister on January 12. Nemban reminded the parties that theres no alternative to taking the peace process to a logical end.
