Fire damages 3 houses in Boudhha

RSS KATHMANDU: Three houses were damaged in an outbreak of fire at local Mahabouddha on Monday.

The fire spread from the house of one Rajendra Manandhar later caught two other houses of Mukunda Guruju and Badri Guruju. The fire also damaged a warehouse of electronic goods belonging to Manandhar.
The fire erupted after kerosene stored inside the house caught a spark following the burst of a television set.

The fire was doused with the help of fire brigade, the Nepal Army and the Armed Police Force.

No PM run-off after 17th round, says Nembang

HIMALAYAN NEWS SERVICE DHULIKHEL: Constituent Assembly Chairman Subas Nembang today said a new process will pick the Prime Minister if the 17th prime ministerial run-off fails to deliver. The winter session of the Parliament is beginning tomorrow and the 17th run-off is likely to take place on January 12. Inaugurating the seventh general assembly of the Rastriya Sahakari Bank in Banepa, Nembang said, On January 9, the House will schedule the 17th run-off for January 12, but that will be the last one.
