Amendment of CA rules on anvil
THT ONLINE KATHMANDU: A meeting of the 28 parties represented in the Constituent Assembly on Tuesday agreed to amend the regulations of the Constituent Assembly (CA) in a bid to accomplish the task of drafting a new constitution.
In a half an hour meeting held at Singha Durbar, the parties also agreed to hold informal and formal meetings on the remaining 83 pressing issues left to be resolved.
After the expiry of the term of the High Level Task Force (HLTF), formed to sort out 210 thematic issues surfaced in the drafts presented by various thematic committees, the 28 parties are looking into the issues.
Emerging from the meeting, Law Minister Prem Bahadur Singh said that the informal meetings will continue from January 12-14 prior to the formal meetings with CA members.
