HIMALAYAN NEWS SERVICE KATHMANDU: The Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MoFA) has instructed tainted Nepali ambassador to Saudi Arabia Hamid Ansari not to perform any ambassadorial duties. Ansari, who flew back to Riyadh, the capital of Saudi Arabia where the Nepali Embassy is located, had tried to enter office. According to a MoFA source, Ansari could have returned to Riyadh to destroy evidence that could be used to indict him in a graft case currently being probed by the Commission for the Investigation of Abuse of Authority. No PM run-off after 17th round, says Nembang

HIMALAYAN NEWS SERVICE DHULIKHEL: Constituent Assembly Chairman Subas Nembang today said a new process will pick the Prime Minister if the 17th prime ministerial run-off fails to deliver. The winter session of the Parliament is beginning tomorrow and the 17th run-off is likely to take place on January 12. Inaugurating the seventh general assembly of the Rastriya Sahakari Bank in Banepa, Nembang said, On January 9, the House will schedule the 17th run-off for January 12, but that will be the last one. A new process will be initiated if the country does not get a new prime minister on January 12. Nemban reminded the parties that theres no alternative to taking the peace process to a logical end. He assured that the new statute will be cooperative-friendly and argued that cooperative movement is a movement of the people.
