Kia Soul launched in Nepal
HIMALAYAN NEWS SERVICE KATHMANDU: Continental Associates Pvt Ltd, authorised distributor of Kia Motors for Nepal, has officially launched Kia Soul in the Nepali market today. Kia Soul is a new design that defies categorisation and encourages customers to build an emotional bond with the car, said Suhrid Ghimire, president of Continental Trading Entreprises.
It is a five-door hatchback with 1.6-litre petrol engine generating 124 ps power at the rate of 6,300 rpm, with front wheel drive, a high roofline and an unusually long wheelbase (2,550 mm), he said, adding that it also offers amazingly large passenger space that matches or even outperforms many vehicles with much larger external dimensions.
Kia, the fourth largest global automaker aims to be the market leader in the year 2011, he said, adding that this year, it targets to sell over 1,000 units in Nepal. We are also planning the mechanised service centre, with training centre, parts centre and showroom in Balaju to support the customers, Ghimire added.
A full-option Kia Soul costs Rs 3.7 million.
