NTY 2011 main organising committee holds meeting
RSS KATHMANDU: Main Organising Committee of the Nepal Tourism Year 2011 was held on Tuesday in the presence of committee's Chairman and Minister for Tourism and Civil Aviation Sarat Singh Bhandari at Tourism Ministry.
The meeting discussed necessary preparation for the formal inauguration of NTY 2011.
In the meeting, discussions were also held on other preparations made by Tourism Secretariat to make the tourism year successful and make other necessary homework by the stakeholders concerned and private sectors.
During the meeting, Bhandari stressed on the need for more participation and support from all quarters to make the slogan 'Together with tourism' of the tourism campaign effective.
He said the grand inauguration of NTY 2011 will spread the message in the international level that Nepal is ready to welcome guests. He said on the occasion of tourism year all the Himalayan ranges and other tourism areas have been opened for the visit.
At the meeting, Bhandari urged the authority concerned to make Tribhuvan Airport tourist-friendly as it has been the main entrance of foreign tourists.
He also said that the ministry has been making a package including the places of important from religious, cultural, archeological point of view.
Secretary at the Tourism Ministry, Kishor Thapa, said that the government has been improving the internal airports keeping in view of NTY 2011.
